How do I record a whisper?
Tap and hold the record button to capture your voice. You can record up to 60 seconds per whisper. Release to save your recording as a new star in your constellation.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. StarWhisper uses AES-256-GCM encryption with keys stored in your device Keychain/Secure Enclave. Private vault whispers are encrypted before storage; Firefly social replies are stored separately so recipients can play them.
What is the WhisperMoon?
Exactly one year after you record a whisper, it returns to you as a WhisperMoon — a notification from your past self. It's a way to reflect on where you were a year ago.
What are Fireflies?
Fireflies are anonymized whispers that users can optionally share with the community. They appear as floating lights you can listen to and respond to — completely anonymous, with no identifying information.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → StarWhisper. Apple handles all billing, and your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Can I export my whispers?
Currently, whispers remain encrypted within the app to maintain security. We're exploring secure export options for a future update.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete All My Data. This removes your Firebase account data, whispers, social content, notification tokens, and related storage objects, then clears local vault data on that device.
